Free hearing tests
All hearing tests are free and without obligation to purchase, carried out by a qualified hearing aid dispenser registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council). The tests are carried out using a calibrated audiometer. We ensure that our premises are suitably quiet for the duration of the test.
Our hearing test
A full hearing test takes around 45 minutes to an hour for completion and it comprises:
- Medical history regarding hearing problems, concerns and aspirations
- Physical examination of the ears to check for blockages or abnormalities
- Hearing test or audiometry
- Uncomfortable loudness test
- Speech in noise test
- Clear explanation of hearing test results
- Hearing aid demonstration if appropriate with speech test
- Recommendation of suitable hearing aid solution to suit your lifestyle, needs and budget
Aftercare follow up visits
Aftercare follow up visits or phone calls will be made 2-3 weeks later to ensure you are fully satisfied with your new hearing aids. All ongoing aftercare is included in the purchase price. Please contact us for more information.
